Safer Rotherham Partnership (SRP) is the borough's community safety partnership with statutory responsibilities established under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
The partnership has a legal responsibility to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour and drug and alcohol misuse, and to enhance feelings of safety. As well as the council and South Yorkshire Police, the partnership includes senior representatives from:
- South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service
- South Yorkshire Probation
- South Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company
- Voluntary Action Rotherham
- Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group
- South Yorkshire Police & Crime Commissioner's Office
Currently, SRP is particularly focused on reducing the threat and harm to victims of: child sexual exploitation, domestic abuse, stalking and harassment, and honour based abuse and forced marriage.
